CONCORD, N.C. -- Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates announced Friday veteran NASCAR crew chief Brad Parrott has joined the organization. Parrott will serve as the crew chief for the remaining seven Busch Series races scheduled for driver Casey Mears.

Parrott has a history of success in the Busch Series. In 2002, he led the No. 9 Busch Series entry to five wins, eight top-five finishes, nine top-10 finishes and two poles in 13 starts.

After one season in Cup, Parrott returned to the Busch Series for the 2004 and 2005 seasons, and in those two years racked up an impressive eight poles, 10 wins, 30 top-five and 42 top-10 finishes en route to consecutive third-place finishes in the overall Busch Series standings.

Parrott will call his first Busch Series race for Mears at Texas Motor Speedway on April 8.
