1. What's the best advice you ever received and who was it from?

Jamie McMurray: I guess I'd have to say from my dad. He's always been there for me and has watched me race for years. Dad actually raced for years and ever since I was 8 years old, we'd travel together every weekend to race. He even drove my motor coach for a few years when I first started in NASCAR.

2. What was your first car?

McMurray: It was a 1987 Ford Ranger XLT and now I drive a Ford Expedition.

3. What did you do for Halloween?

McMurray: Well, I had a bunch of friends over for a Halloween party. In order to come, you had to wear a costume. It was pretty funny to see the costumes that everyone wore. I dressed up as a gladiator. I had a few ideas for costumes, but that was the one I ended up going as.

4. If you could choose someone to play you in a movie, who would it be?

McMurray: Well, that's tough to have to pick someone to play yourself. I would rather just play myself in a movie. It's a lot easier when they ask you to be yourself instead of having to be someone else or having to act out of character.

5. What's your favorite vacation spot?

McMurray: I don't know if it's my favorite place, but Turks and Caicos has been the destination choice for the last couple of years.

6. What's one thing that NASCAR does that drives you crazy?

McMurray: I don't know if it's NASCAR to blame, but how they rolled out the Car of Tomorrow this season. It's tough when you have to go back and forth every other weekend in the new car, and I know it's been tough for all the guys back at the shop that have had to build both cars. I would have rather seen them just start this season or next season with them. I think once we are in those cars every weekend it will be a lot better for everyone.

7. What was your first job?

McMurray: I worked at a golf course. I started working there when I was pretty young, and then after a couple of years I went to work at my sister's restaurant as a waiter.

8. What is the biggest challenge you face as a NASCAR driver, aside from performing on the track?

McMurray: I would say probably all the stuff that goes on away from the track. Typically every week you have an appearance away from the track, and other obligations like photo shoots or commercials.

9. If you could trade places with anyone, who would it be and why?

McMurray: I don't know that I'd want to trade places with anyone else, I'm pretty happy just being me.

10. What are your plans for the offseason?

McMurray: Right now I don't have any plans to go anywhere special. I think I'm going to race my go-kart a little bit and probably spend a little more time at the golf course.
