AutoZone to sponsor RCR's champion 21 car

WELCOME, N.C. -- Richard Childress Racing and AutoZone have agreed to terms on a partnership for the automotive parts and accessories retailer to sponsor the No. 21 Chevrolet Monte Carlo team for the 2007 Busch Series season.

Kevin Harvick and Timothy Peters will share the driving duties for the No. 21 team. Harvick, 31, is the reigning and two-time Busch Series champion (2001, 2006) as well as a 10-time winner in the Nextel Cup Series.

Peters, 26, is a three-time Late Model stock-car champion (2002-04) and 10-time World Karting Association national champion who raced the previous two seasons in the Craftsman Truck Series.

"We're very pleased to welcome AutoZone to RCR's family of sponsors," team owner Richard Childress said. "We're confident the two-driver combination of Kevin Harvick and Timothy Peters will challenge to win races and the season's owner championship.

AutoZone has stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Each store carries an extensive line of parts and accessories for cars, sport utility vehicles, vans and light trucks, including new and remanufactured hard parts, maintenance items and accessories.
