CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NASCAR fans across the World Wide Web will have the opportunity to own a piece of the action. Beginning Wednesday at noon ET, an authentic race-used Tony Stewart autographed firesuit will be listed for auction as part of the 2007 Dale Jr. Celebrity Sports Auction.
The suit, worn by Stewart during the 2006 Nextel Cup Series season, would make a great addition to any No. 20 fan's memorabilia collection. Stewart's firesuit will be listed for auction for 20 days on www.nascar.com/foundation
. The item kicks off the 2007 Dale Jr. Celebrity Sports Auction pre-event fundraising efforts. In addition, unique NASCAR items will be put up for bid periodically until this year's event.
The 2007 Dale Jr. Celebrity Sports Auction will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 23 at Founder's Hall in Uptown Charlotte, N.C. Tickets as well as Super Tickets go on sale on Aug. 1. The Super Ticket will include reserved, VIP seating, a custom-made poster designed by NASCAR artist Stephen Balok and admission into a private autograph session in which Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his special guests will sign the aforementioned poster.
