Tony Stewart wins for the fourth time at Watkins Glen, coming back from a mid-race spin. "We just had to keep fighting back," Stewart said. "I gave it away and got it back, the same way I lost it."

Lap 90 -- CHECKERED FLAG: Tony Stewart wins as Carl Edwards goes off into the gravel trap. Denny Hamlin winds up second, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Ron Fellows and Robby Gordon. Edwards winds up eighth and Jeff Gordon ninth.

Lap 89 -- WHITE FLAG: Stewart, Edwards, Hamlin, Johnson and Fellows in that order. Jeff Gordon is now ninth.

Lap 88 -- LEAD CHANGE: Gordon spins in Turn 1! Stewart's now in front, with Edwards right on his bumper.

Lap 86 -- David Ragan visits the gravel trap again, but this time, he gets out. However, there's a lot of junk on the track in that area.

Lap 85 -- David Gilliland is backwards but no full-course caution at this point. Stewart's stalking Gordon but can't get to him. Ron Fellows passes Robby Gordon for sixth.

Lap 83 -- GREEN FLAG: It's Gordon, Stewart and Hamlin to the line. Edwards with a great pass in Turn 2 to take third away from Hamlin.

Lap 80 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 8: P.J. Jones is in the gravel.

Hamlin gets crossways in the bus stop while passing Edwards but keeps in the gas and makes the move.

Lap 79 -- Edwards gets Hamlin for third, but the No. 11's right on his bumper as they cross the stripe.

Lap 78 -- Stewart gets on the inside of Hamlin for second as Gordon gets away. Edwards is right in the thick of it, too.

Lap 77 -- GREEN FLAG: The current top five ...

1. Jeff Gordon
2. Denny Hamlin
3. Tony Stewart
4. Carl Edwards
5. Martin Truex Jr.

Lap 76 -- And the cars have re-fired in anticipation of a green flag. It appears most teams now think they can make it to the end on fuel.

Lap 75 -- RED FLAG: Harvick: "I just got run over. It all goes up in smoke because people gets impatient. The No. 42 seems like he runs over someone every week." How do you feel about Montoya: "I was talking about kicking his a** is how I felt about it ..."

Montoya: "I got out of the car and told Kevin it wasn't my fault. He comes and starts saying things and I don't appreciate that. I tried to tell him, 'Dude, if it's not my fault, don't push me around like that.' "

And now a fan has climbed over the fence and gone up to the No. 17 to chat with Matt Kenseth.

Lap 73 -- GREEN FLAG: Gordon leads Hamlin, Stewart, Edwards and Kevin Harvick. Juan Montoya is now sixth.

YELLOW FLAG NO. 7: In Turn 1, Montoya slams into Harvick and then several other cars pile in. Harvick and Montoya climb from their cars and Montoya pushes Harvick in the helmet. Teammate Jeff Burton comes over to try to break it up.

The question: Did Montoya get hit by Martin Truex Jr., which set off the melee? Hard to tell from ESPN's replays.

Jamie McMurray and Burton both end up with heavy damage. (Continued)
